The people here are friendly and there is a definite sense of community spirit, we have a good primary school, a pub, a lovely church, a well-used village hall and sports association. It is an excellent place to pursue all kinds of outdoor activities.

Easingwold and Boroughbridge are close by providing an excellent array of shops and amenities. There are good network links to the A1, and Railway station at York and Thirsk with regular services to King Cross.
